Select Staffing has an immediate need for a Benefits Specialist for a local company in the Loveland area.
Position Title: Benefits Specialist
Department: Human Resources - Benefits
Reports to: Benefits Manager
Pay: $20hr
Position
Summary:
Administration, communication and coordination of the health and welfare benefits program for US employees.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Advisor to employees on health and welfare benefit program including enrollment, eligibility, administration, claims resolution, payroll deductions, etc.
Provide proactive customer service to employees ensuring accurate information and reliable follow-up.
Maintains HRIS and benefits administration system to facilitate eligibility for health and welfare benefit plans.
Assist with internal benefit plan communications and forms to ensure necessary and timely distribution occurs.
Assist with resolving claims issues between vendors and employees.
Responsible for timely and accurate auditing/processing of vendor invoices.
Develop, maintain and revise audit reports to maintain data integrity and prevent errors in SAP.
Coordinate COBRA administration with outsourced provider.
Testing of SAP HCM benefits configuration and interfaces. Maintain functional requirements documentation.
Monitors vendor interfaces and error reports to ensure accurate, timely information. Coordinates with vendors to resolve issues.
Processing of death claims, evidence of insurability documents and conversion/portability of life and disability benefits.
Processing of QMSCOs, benefit verifications, and Certificates of Credible Coverage.
Develops and implements new processes and procedures or training and guidelines to resolve issues, ensure systems data integrity, and to improve processes.
Advises Manager regarding activities and developments affecting employees and/or department.
Recommend improvements in benefits related processes, policies and procedures.
Assist with training and education of Human Resources staff on benefit administration topics.
Assists in the planning and execution of the annual Open Enrollment process.
Supports completion of benefit projects.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Two years benefits administration experience, preferably with large company
Benefits/HR experience (desired)
Knowledge of benefit-related regulatory requirements, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, IRS and other applicable regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
SAP Benefits Administration experience preferred
