Maintenance Management Specialist

As a Maintenance Management Specialist you will serve as the technical authority responsible for the financial and administrative operation, planning, and technical program coordination of the Rocky Mountain Regional Maintenance Department. As the technical authority, you will have responsibility for the development of the maintenance planning, data integrity, budget development, technical evaluation, and monitoring of the maintenance schedules and performance information. You will also be responsible for the analysis of compliance standards leading to development of policies and procedures for standardization, implementation, and continuous process improvement. GS-13:
Experience developing reports, managing data integrity, and tracking work completion. Experience in budget development, contingency planning, and execution to achieve financial budgetary goals. Knowledge of the electric utility industry, electric utility maintenance practices, and NERC/WECC reliability standards as they relate to the industry in order to interpret the standards and enhance processes and procedures to meet those standards. Knowledge of WAPA's CMMS system (MAXIMO) and its interfaces with WAPA's financial and payroll systems (BIDSS and ATAAPs). Analytical and planning skills, to design and conduct a wide variety of studies to improve complex maintenance financial planning and management processes. Ability to exercise originality and apply experienced judgment to solve a variety of complex problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
