Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

-Receives, screens, and routes incoming telephone calls and visitors. -Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint to format correspondence and generate reports and spreadsheets. -Acts as time keeper, verifies time sheets for accuracy and prepares amendments. -Coordinates temporary duty travel using on-line travel management system. -Prepares outgoing mail, distributes incoming mail, and conducts central file maintenance. -Schedules meetings, prepares and distributes agendas, and secures appropriate meeting rooms and equipment. This position requires a qualified typist who can type at least 40 words per minute. GS-05:
Successful completion of four years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree -OR- one year of Specialized Experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-4 level in the Federal service -OR- a combination of education and experience.SPECIALIZED

Qualified applicants must have experience with receiving, screening, and routing incoming telephone calls and visitors; using standardized software to prepare a wide variety of documents, spreadsheets, and reports and reviewing for content and accuracy; making travel arrangements and preparing travel documents; establishing and maintaining an alpha-numeric filing system by case or subject, and use of a tickler system.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
