High Voltage Electrician Leader

Provide guidance and direction for permanent, multiple or large, crews comprised of entry level trainee to full journeyman workers and subordinate Foremen in the operation and maintenance functions of Western Area Power Administration's (Western) high voltage substations, transmission lines, associated facilities and equipment. The employee assists in developing and is responsible for implementing the maintenance program for the assigned area including the planning and execution of routine and emergency maintenance and upgrades. The incumbent assures that the crew's work assignments are carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner. You must meet all the qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement. Ability to work with high voltage electrical equipment (69 kV and higher)3. Knowledge of electrical theory and instruments used in high voltage electrical practices and ability to do electrical power system troubleshooting4. Ability to use electrical drawings5.
