Hydro Repairperson
- Performs inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and structures associated with hydroelectric powerplant and dam facilities.- Cleans, lubricates, and checks the mechanical operation of the turbines, governors, and auxiliary equipment, including air compressors, water pumps, ventilating fans, oil pumps, and other powerplant equipment.- Assists other journeyman crafts with maintenance and with performing switching and clearance procedures associated with hydroelectric powerplant and dam facilities. Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.Applicants will be further evaluated on the following Job Elements through your resume and responses to the online questions:
1. Ability to do the work of a Hydro Repairperson with only normal supervision. (Screen-out)2. Safety and safe clearance procedures.3. Ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment.4. Ability to install, modify, and/or repair equipment and structures, including knowledge of materials.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
