Here is a restored MCS 6500 auto return turntable built bytechnics. I went thru the mechanics, working 100%, cleaned and regreased asneeded. Installed new damping fluid in the lift. The headshell isremovable and with a new Audio Techinca cartridge, new stylus and new stylusguard. It is a 2 speed 33 and 45 with pitch control for both speedsand lamp. Keeps great speed on both, and new belt also. Its a semi automatic with tonearm pick up andreturn at end of record. the base has been redone. On top is African Paduak, the wood is just awesome. Looks even better in person. Deep blood red color isnatural, no stain. I also recreated allof the graphics and embedded it in the finish so it will not come off or ruboff. I also had my local plastic shop make a new cover for it. There is acouple of small marks on the front, notsure if I put them there or they were there when I picked it up, there small , very small. The gears have been cleaned and regreased but there is so little ofmechanize really to speak of. Mainly 1 main gear and a few small parts thatturn 1 way or the other, Really very very little to really go wrong with thistable. I also replaced the RCA ends with new ones. This table is over 40years old so NO WARRANTY, I DO PROMISE NOT TO BE DOA WHEN YOU GET IT. It willplay and return when you get it. This table is 15 lbs and 17 3/4 wide x14 1/2 deep x 5 3/8 tall. It will be double boxed. Please ask questionfirst, know what your getting before you buy. I also put this in my localcraigslist. There will be some assembly you will have to do like screw the back hinges on and put on the platter and mat and belt, because they will be taken off to make sure you get it in one piece, way to much time to let someone destory this table. Again please ask questions first and you will need to set the tonearm weight there are plenty of you tube videos that show you how to do that, Its very easy. Not only have I been doing wood working for the past 20 years, andhave a complete wood shop will all the major equipment. But I went to schoolfor electronics back in 83 and got a diploma in it and that is what my normal 8- 5 job is, and have also a personal complete electronics shop with all thetest equipment. I am not someone that picked up a soldering iron one dayon e Bay or read the internet and all of a sudden I am an expert. Its also notwhat my dad did but what I do. Not living off someone else's creditbut It's what I do for a living. I have been to schools for all the majorbrands and authorized for most right now
