Restored 100% Working Jvc Vl5 Turntable, New Base for sale in Loveland, CO
Here is a Restored JVC VL5 belt driveturntable. It is a 2 speed, 33 and 45. It has dampened cue control, adjustable counter weight and removable original JVC head shell. new belt. This table is 100% manual turntable. It does have auto lift at the end of the record but does not return to the rest. it does move a touch towards the rest but there is no linkage that takes it all the way there and the manual even states that is normal because of the auto lift. It will not stop the platter from rotating either, just lifts the arm. Keep that in mind. Still more then most do today as far as high end tables. they just play and thats it. I left the cables in tack because this table was also CD4 ready, meaning the cables had to be very low cap. to carry the tone of the CD4. The great thing about manual tables is there is no mechanical things really to go wrong and being a belt drive, theres a motor and a belt. Not much to really go wrong there either. Just a new belt every 5 years or so. It has anAudio Technica cartridge with new stylus and stylus guard. New damping fluid for softlowering of tonearm. It has a new base and new Sorbothane dome feet. The base is my style. Didnt care much for the oversized top on the base that it came with. The base is made of MDFwith real Santos Rosewood Veneer from Brazil. No stain is ever used on mybases when it comes to exotic woods, unless I make a base for someonethat wants stain. All wood is natural color. On top of the veneer is UVprotector to keep the color of the wood and 4 coats of clear finish. I do notuse oils as do you really want to tear it apart every year to reoil it. Thecover is Also new and made by my local plastic shop. One thing I can say is I am an authorized repair man for JVC and other brands. And have been for almost 30 years. Not too many can say thathere. This table comes in at about 18 lbs, and is 18 1/16 wide x 15 deep x 7 1/4 tall. I ship fed ex and I use new double wall box. I put too much time intothem to let anyone destroy it. It will get there in one piece. Becausethis table is about 40 years old. No warranty, I do promise it will not be DOAwhen you get it. This table is a 100% manual table. Please ask questions first if you dont knowwhat this will do or not do first. No returns if you buy and and found out itdoesnt do what you wanted it to do. You will need a phono input on the receiveror amp or a phono preamp. This cartridge I am tracking at 1 1/2 grams. Camerapicks up all the dust. So that is rocky mountain dust and yours to keep. Not only have I beendoing wood working for the past 20 years, and have a complete wood shop willall the major equipment. But I went to school for electronics back in 83 andgot a diploma in it and that is what my normal 8 ? 5 job is, and have also apersonal complete electronics shop with all the test equipment. I amnot someone that picked up a soldering iron one day on eBay or read theinternet and all of a sudden I am an expert. Its also not what my dad did butwhat I do. Not living off someone else's credit but It?s what I do for aliving. I have been to schools for all the major brands and authorized for mostright now.
